XDraft Saving for Solid Edge add-in
The XDraft Saving for Solid Edge extension builds into Solid Edge software and automatically generates manufacturing drawings from a 3D model or a whole installation with the help of Solid Edge’s Quick drawing template function.
The extension places the part in a template previously defined by the engineer, then automatically generates the views based on this. The extension takes the dimensions from the model in accordance with the engineer’s settings and the program adjusts the proportions of the generated views to the manufacturing drawings’ page size.
The XAutomated Manufacturing Drawing extension decides whether the instalment parts have already a manufacturing drawing assigned. If they do not, it generates a manufacturing drawing based on the Quick Drawing template with the chosen settings. The template is optional – the designer can create it or can use an existing Solid Edge drawing template.
A big compilation may have hundreds of parts. So creating the manufacturing drawings manually could take hours or even days. XperiCAD Kft’s development creates manufacturing drawings from every part at the push of a button which the engineers just need to verify and finalise manually.
