With this module integrated into the Solid Edge design software, the parts and sub-assemblies of thousands of assemblies can be numbered with a single button press, thus the drawing numbering within the company becomes uniform. We distinguish between 3 types of drawing numbering:

numbering the level of integration;
numbering based on categories;
mixed numbering based on the above two.

The numbering is done through an intuitive platform and the drawing numbers are also available there.

XBOM for Solid Edge

Create a compiled part list of the highest quality with our Solid Edge add-in. With the XBOM for Solid Edge add-in, you can quickly and easily create a compiled part list from a Solid Edge assembly and save it as an Excel file. The part list does not only include sub-assemblies’ specific properties, but also the preview image of parts, making identification easier. How to automate creating manufacturing drawings

Starting the add-in from an assembly environment, this add-in automatically creates a manufacturing drawing of the parts and sub-assemblies. It sets the default views according to the settings, including their scale so that they can fit on one page. You can assign templates to the Solid Edge part types; thus the sheet, the part or the compilation appears every time on preset drawing template. You can use the Solid Edge quick drawing template option, too. The ready views can display sizes, symmetry signs and centre markings.

Most companies create a PDF of the part’s manufacturing drawing in order to start manufacturing based on the accepted PDF files. These files have to be stored somewhere, they must be searchable, and often it is also important to know who opened them and why. You can search the PDF files in the daring store not only by the file name but also by the text in the PDF. This programme is meant to handle PDF files saved from Solid Edge and SOLIDWORKS design software.
